BIONICOLOGISTS ‘‘EZRA // L.O.S’’
Bionicologists est une création musicale mêlant human beatbox et nouvelles technologies, composée de deux artistes des Pays de la Loire au rayonnement international, Ezra (tournée mondiale en 2008 aux côtés de Camille) et L.O.S (collab avec Grand Corps Malade, Vincent Segal, Médéric Collignon…).
Aujourd’hui, deux des meilleurs représentants du beatbox français se réunissent dans un show alliant musicalité, interaction et performance. Ezra et L.O.S tels des multi instrumentistes ou des DJs, créent de la matière sonore qu’ils se laissent libre de transformer à volonté grâce à une machine unique programmée pour eux. Devenant peu à peu bioniques, ils se démultiplient à l’infini créant des orchestrations envoutantes et percussives qu’ils contrôlent du bout du doigt…
A la frontière entre les beats hip hop, les sonorités électroniques, le groove du funk, la lourdeur du dub step, propulsés par la chaleur de la soul et le swing du jazz, ils imposent un style riche parsemé d’épisodes textuels et de voies insolites. Intrigués et motivés par les pratiques expérimentales et la recherche incessante de nouveautés, Bionicologists vous propose un voyage dans un univers éclectique inspiré par une diversité culturelle existante et enrichissante poussant les limites de l’art vocal.
Bionicologists is a musical mix of new technologies and human beatbox, composed of two artists from the ouest of France, Ezra (world tour in 2008 alongside Camille) and L.O.S (Musician in Me Myself & I, Renowned Polish group).
Today, two of the best representatives of French beatbox meet in a show combining musicality, interaction and performance. Ezra and L.O.S as multi instrumentalists and DJs, create sound material that they can be free to transform with a single machine programmed for them. Gradually becoming bionic, they will replicate endlessly and creating spellbinding percussive orchestrations they control with the fingertip …
At the border between the hip hop beats, electronic sounds, groove and funk, heavy dub step, propelled by the heat of soul and swing of jazz, they require a rich style and interspersed with episodes of track and unusual voices.
